The Dakota War remembered

Events across the country continue to honor the 150th anniversary of the U.S.-Dakota war of 1862. If you’re in Minnesota, check out the Minnesota Historical Society today. There are tours, dedications, and an exhibit open house all day. Alexander Payne to film in Nebraska

Director Alexander Payne will begin filming his next feature film in Nebraska according to the Norfolk Daily News. Payne and Executive Producer George Parra will be in the Norfolk area for the next four months filming “Nebraska,” a story about a father and son who travel from Billings, Mont. to Lincoln, Neb.
