2012 National Jewish Book Award announcement

The History of the Holocaust in Romania by Jean Ancel published by UNP and Yad Vashem won the Writing Based on Archival Material category of the 2012 National Jewish Book Awards. The History of the Holocaust in Romania is a comprehensive analysis of the Holocaust in Romania during World War II. Jean Ancel (1940–2008) was a Romanian-born Israeli independent historian and a research associate of Yad Vashem’s International Institute for Holocaust Research.
