Two new reviews

Monsters and Critics' Sandy Amazeen reviewed two UNP titles. Decathlon begins today!

The 2012 Decathlon is a two-day event consisting of ten events. In 1912, Jim Thorpe won the gold.Who will win this year? Click here to view the schedule. Author Kate Buford recently published an article about Thorpe on The Daily Beast titled "The Most Wonderful Athlete in the World: Jim Thorpe's Story." Italian Americans at Bat

The Museo Italo-Americano in San Francisco currently has an exhibit called "Italian Americans at Bat: From Sandlots to the Major Leagues." UNP author Lawrence Baldassaro was there last week with his book, Beyond DiMaggio: Italian Americans in Baseball. Baldassaro is a professor emeritus of Italian at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Beyond DiMaggio will be published in paperback this spring. Continue reading Italian Americans at Bat
