“SABR reported record attendance and record number first time attendees. Book sales exceeded our expectations. A number of UNP authors were in attendance, including Mark Armour, Andy McCue, Rob Garratt, Rick Huhn, Mort Zachter, Rob Fitts, David Block, David Nemec, and Dan Levitt. In addition to being well represented, our authors were also prominent parts of the conference. David Block and David Nemec both received Chadwick Awards. Dan Levitt received the Bob Davids Award, which honors SABR members whose contributions to SABR and baseball reflect the ingenuity, integrity, and self-sacrifice of the founder and past president of SABR, L. Robert ‘Bob’ Davids.
