Heartland Fall Forum 2023

This year Heartland Fall Forum is in Detroit, Michigan from Oct. 18-20. HFF is the premiere gathering place for those interested in independent bookstores throughout the Midwest. Hosted jointly by the Midwest Independent Booksellers Association and the Great Lakes Independent Booksellers Association. UNP will be on the trade show floor; see below for some highlights! Wednesday, Oct. 18

Featuring host Isaac Fitzgerald, celebrate the award-winning authors of the Heartland Booksellers Award and the Voice of the Heartland award. View the award-winning authors here. An extra special congrats to our UNP finalists: Ted Kooser’s Cotton Candy and Jill Christman’s If This Were Fiction.

5:00-6:30 pm ET: Opening Reception | 42 North (3rd floor)

Terese Svoboda is one of the seventeen authors who will be signing books during the opening reception. Her new book, Dog on Fire, was called “a lyrical midwestern gothic” by Publishers Weekly and was reviewed in The Wall Street Journal, Electric Lit, and the Washington Independent Review of Books.

Thursday, Oct. 19
