Wednesday, March 6 through Saturday, March 9, UNP will be at the 2024 NINE Spring Training Conference. The Spring Training Conference is a multi-disciplinary academic conference, featuring presentations on a wide range of baseball topics, including history, analytics, law, media analysis, literature, architecture, cultural studies, rhetoric, and more.
UNP’s Senior Acquisition Editor Rob Tayler will be in attendance alongside a number of UNP authors. Steven P. Gietschier, author of Baseball, will be awarded the 2024 Seymour Medal on the last day of the conference. Daybreak at Chavez Ravine by Erik Sherman was the Seymour Medal runner-up.
