The American Anthropological Association’s Annual Meeting begins tomorrow in San Jose, California. UNP will be one of the university presses exhibiting at the conference, showcasing books on contemporary anthropology, Native studies, and more.
A number of books from the Critical Studies in the History of Anthropology series will be available at the meeting, including three of the most recent books in the series: The Enigma of Max Gluckman (September 2018), Declared Defective (May 2018), and Race Experts (August 2018).
We’ll also have books from the Anthropology of Contemporary North America series, which publishes teachable, empirically rich, and conceptually innovative books that contribute to the comparative anthropology of North America. Some of the recent books in the series, such as Mexicans in Alaska (July 2018) and Religious, Feminist, Activist (April 2018), will be available for sale.
