Dana Fritz will speak about her new book and exhibition, Field Guide to a Hybrid Landscape. This fascinating little-known story of the first federal tree nursery and what was once the world’s largest hand-planted forest reaches beyond Nebraska with relevance to our current challenges of climate chaos and biodiversity collapse.

Come discover the intriguing world of tree-ring science. Field Guide to a Hybrid Landscape makes visible the forces that shaped what was once the world’s largest hand-planted forest located in the Sandhills region of Nebraska, the largest intact temperate grassland in the world.

Mike Stark, Dan Flores and Riley Black discuss what it takes to tell the story when the main characters no longer walk the earth.

Hear several different perspectives of the American West and our authors’ approach writing their reflections about this iconic part of the United States.

March 5 at 2:30 p.m. Workshop: The Art of Co-Authoring
Writing with a buddy can start off fun and end as a headache. Bob West teaches us how to work cooperatively with co-authors.
