The 2017 Nebraska Book Festival will be held this Saturday, July 15, at Union Plaza from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Lincoln, Nebraska.
This outdoor, day-long event will feature a hands-on activity with Nebraska 4-H and two performances by the Mesner Puppet Theater of Kansas City. Authors will present, read, and discuss their work. Indigo Bridge Books will sell books by regional authors and host author signings throughout the day. The full schedule of events is online.
Doreen Pfost , author of This River Beneath the Sky: A Year of the Platte (Bison Books, 2016) will be participating in “Good Books Fast” which gives authors four minutes to discuss their book with the audience. “Good Books Fast” is hosted by Lincoln writer Rex Walton and begins at 2:30 p.m. in the outdoor Graf Amphitheater.
Tim Anderson, author of Lonesome Dreamer: The Life of John G. Neihardt (Bison Books, 2016) will be discussing “The ‘Soul-Change’ of John Neihardt” at 4:30 p.m. in the outdoor Graf Amphitheater. His presentation will be followed by a book signing inside Hub Café with Indigo Bridge Books.
UNP will also be selling books on-site and author Denise Low will be signing copies of her book The Turtle’s Beating Heart (Bison Books, 2017) at 10:00 a.m.
