In October the eleventh volume of The Complete Letters of Henry James arrived, a collection edited by Greg W. Zacharias and Michael Anesko, and previously by Pierre A. Walker. Each installment of this collection has received the Modern Language Association’s “Approved Edition” seal—an honor bestowed by MLA’s Committee on Scholarly Editions.
The CSE review begins long before a book has been published, and spends a great deal of time verifying and vetting the manuscript. For one volume to receive this seal means dozens of people have poured over its pages and seen its literary merit.
You can find a complete list of the CSE’s Approved Editions on the MLA website.
