Ellen Baumler was the interpretive historian at the Montana Historical Society from 1992 until her retirement in 2018. She is the author of many books on the history, ghosts, and hauntings of Montana and the forthcoming The Life of the Afterlife in the Big Sky State: A History of Montana’s Cemeteries. Alan Boye is a retired professor of English and the author of many books, including A Guide to the Ghosts of Lincoln and Tales from the Journey of the Dead. B. J. Hollars is an associate professor of English at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. He is the author of numerous books, including Midwestern Strange: Hunting Monsters, Martians, and the Weird in Flyover Country.
