Join Larksong Writers Place for their event 6 Poets Read Outdoors on Thursday, October 7 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at Larksong Writers Place on 1600 N. Cotner Blvd. Lincoln, NE. Six poets, including Marjorie Saiser and Grace Bauer, will be reading from their newest books! Saiser will be reading an excerpt from The Track the Whales Make (Nebraska, 2021) and Bauer will be reading an excerpt from Unholy Heart (Backwaters Press, 2021).

Grace Bauer is the Aaron Douglas Emeritus Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She is the award-winning author of numerous books of poetry, including MEAN/TIME, The Women At the Well, Nowhere All at Once, Retreats and Recognitions, and Beholding Eye. Her most recent book, Unholy Heart (Backwaters Press, 2021), was published this past March.
Marjorie Saiser is the author of seven previous books of poetry and coeditor of two anthologies. Her most recent books are Learning to Swim, The Woman in the Moon (Backwaters, 2018), I Have Nothing to Say about Fire (Backwaters, 2016), and The Track the Whales Make (Nebraska, 2021).
