UNP’s running (and walking) team, Footnotes, participated in the Lincoln Track Club’s 48th Havelock Charity Run on Saturday, June 6.

On a cool, cloudy June morning, my husband and I packed up our 20-month-old daughter in the hiking pack and took off on the 48th Annual Havelock Charity Run 3K. Most years, five or so members of UNP’s running/walking club, Footnotes, attend and run or walk the 3K or 10K. We were the sole reps this year but were glad to represent UNP and walk for UNP’s chosen charity, Lincoln Literacy! Once we crossed the finish line, our daughter clapped and cheered for all the 10K finishers. Teach them to run for literacy young! We will have to get her a tiny Footnotes tee for next time.
