The University of Nebraska Press is outraged at the murder of George Floyd, and countless other Black Americans, at the hands of law enforcement and stands in unity against all forms of racism and racial injustice. As a university press, we are dedicated to publishing works of intellectual and cultural significance and amplifying voices and research that may otherwise not be heard. We strive to encourage the knowledge of biases, divides, and troubled histories to move our society and country toward unity and understanding.
Though our office was damaged in protests the night of May 30, our work continues. We are proud to extend the mission of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln of teaching, research, and service, and we are committed to fighting injustice in our community, country, and world.
