Recent Award Winners & Finalists

Congratulations to the following authors who have been recently been recognized for their work.

In the 2019 Foreword Indie Awards, From Chernobyl with Love by Katya Cengel was chosen as the Gold winner for Autobiography and Memoir. The Virgin of Prince Street by Sonja Livingston was the Gold winner for Essay. Bodies of Truth, edited by Dinty W. Moore, Erin Murphy, and Renée K. Nicholson, was the Gold winner for Anthologies, and Citizen Akoy by Steven Marantz was given an Honorable Mention for Adventure, Sports & Recreation.

Stephanie Anderson is a finalist for the High Plains Book Awards.

Bronwen McShea is the winner of the Catholic Press Association‘s 2020 Book Award in the History category and a finalist for the Wilson Book Prize.

Come Fly With Us by Melvin Croft and John Youskauskas was the winner of the Space Hipsters 2020 Book Prize.

Gabriela Aceves Sepúlveda was awarded the CALACS Book Prize.

Timothy J. Hillegonds was a finalist for the 2020 Eric Hoffer Book Award.

John Sibley Williams was a finalist for the 2020 Indie Book Awards for Poetry.

The Independent Publisher Book Awards awarded Drunk in China by Derek Sandhaus Gold for Creative Nonfiction and Silver to Blind Bombing by Norman Fine in the History/World category. From Chernobyl with Love tied for Bronze in Autobiography and Memoir.

Charles DeMotte and Jeremy Beer were co-winners of the SABR Larry Ritter Book Award.

César Brioso and Roberta J. Newman were co-winners of the SABR Baseball Research Award.

Alison Rose Jefferson was awarded the Miriam Matthews Ethnic History Award.
