Congratulations to two UNP authors who were recently recognized for their work!

Animal Bodies (Nebraska, 2022) by Suzanne Roberts has been placed on the longlist for the 2023 PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for the Art of the Essay! This award is granted to a seasoned writer whose collection of essays is an expansion on their corpus of work and preserves the distinguished art form of the essay.

Finalists for all PEN Book Awards will be announced in February 2023.

Northern Paiutes of the Malheur (Bison Books, 2022) by David H. Wilson Jr. is a finalist in nonfiction for the 2023 Oregon Book Awards! Thirty-four Oregonians across seven genre categories were chosen as finalists by panels of out-of-state judges, from a total of 202 submitted titles.

Winners will be announced live at the 2023 Oregon Book Awards Ceremony on Monday, April 3, 2023.
