The Great Plains Symposium begins tomorrow in Kearney, Nebraska. The Center for Great Plains Studies hosts this conference featuring sessions for business leaders, ranchers, and community partners as well as wider discussions about how to preserve the stunning bounty of Great Plains ecology.
The keynote speaker is Joel Sartore, an award-winning photographer, speaker, author, teacher, conservationist, National Geographic fellow, and regular contributor to National Geographic magazine. His talk is on Wednesday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Merryman Performing Arts Center. Free tickets are available to the public.
