Miami Book Fair

The Miami Book Fair is one of the nation’s finest literary festivals. Evening events began yesterday and will continue throughout this week. On Friday, the Street Fair gets under way. The highlight of the Street Fair is the Festival of Authors, with more than 450 authors reading and discussing their work, including many of UNP’s own authors.

Amy E. Wallen will be interviewed about When We Were Ghouls: A Memoir of Ghost Stories by high school students from Miami-Dade County Public Schools, along with a number of other authors, on November 16 at 10:00 a.m.

November 17 at 2:30 p.m. Potomac Books author Gregory J. Wallance is participating in a panel on women spies during war time called “Beyond Rosie the Riveter” and will include his book The Woman Who Fought an Empire: Sarah Aaronsohn and her NILI Spy Ring.

Felipe Alou will be joined by co-author Peter Kerasotis to discuss their book, Alou: My Baseball Journey during a session titled “Breaking Barriers: Baseball” on November 18 at 11:00 a.m.

Sandra Gail Lambert will read from her memoir A Certain Loneliness on November 18 at 2:00 p.m., along with fellow memoirist Linda Buckmaster.
