John Hopkins University has announced that Tim Wendel, author of Escape from Castro’s Cuba, will be speaking as part of one of JHU’s Author Chats moderated by Vicki Valosik, editorial director and adjunct instructor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. The event takes place live on Zoom on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. EST and is open to all.

The JHU Author Chats committee invites you to a discussion with Tim Wendel, author of the new novel Escape from Castro’s Cuba, a sequel to Castro’s Curveball, which Wendel wrote as a graduate student in the JHU Writing Program. Wendel is currently a writer-in-residence at Johns Hopkins, where he teaches fiction and nonfiction writing. He has published 14 books, and his work has appeared in The New York Times, National Geographic, and Psychology Today, among other publications.
