WHA Prize Winners: Paul Barba and Traci Brynne Voyles

Congratulations to two UNP authors who were recognized for their work!

Country of the Cursed and the Driven: Slavery and the Texas Borderlands (Nebraska, 2021) by Paul Barba has been selected for the 2022 David J. Weber Prize for the best book on Southwestern History.

Country of the Cursed and the Driven: Slavery and the Texas Borderlands (Nebraska, 2021) by Paul Barba has been selected as one of the recipients for the 2022 W. Turrentine Jackson Award for best first book on the history of the American West.

The Settler Sea: California’s Salton Sea and the Consequences of Colonialism (Nebraska, 2021) by Traci Brynne Voyles has been selected for the 2022 Caughey Western History Prize for the most distinguished book on the American West.
